Histology and In-Vivo Associate II
Michael has 6 years of experience conducting histological and in vivo experiments. He earned his bachelor's degree at University of Texas at Austin, where he worked in Steven Phelps' Integrative Biology lab studying the neurobiological mechanisms of social behaviors. Prior to working at BIOAGE, he served as a researcher studying motor neurons in the spinal cord at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His responsibilities there included managing a colony of rodents, behavioral testing, genotyping, surgical procedures, histology, and fluorescent imaging. His specialty is microscopy, using scopes that range from slide scanners, confocals, to light sheet microscopes.
