Head of Bioinformatics
Chris earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and a PhD in Bioinformatics at Penn State. Between his degrees, he worked for a decade in biotech, first at Genentech, and then as a consultant for pharma companies including Merck and Pfizer, and smaller companies such as Imclone. After graduate school, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and then as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley studying the effects of aging on the brain. He was a member of the ENCODE consortium, an international collaboration of researchers to develop a comprehensive parts list of functional elements in the human genome. He joined BIOAGE to accelerate translational anti-aging research.
