Alexandra Stolzing

Alexandra leads our research on the biology of aging. Alexandra completed a PhD in biology at Humboldt University of Berlin, and then transitioned into regenerative medicine, with a focus on stem cell aging. She led the group of cell-based therapies for neurodegeneration at University of Leipzig starting in 2012, and in 2014 she became a Professor of Biogerontological Engineering at Loughborough University in the UK. She has coauthored 55 publications in the biology of aging and related areas. She has always been interested in translational anti-aging research and the close cooperation between in silico and in vitro approaches.
